Patients visiting TLJ Aesthetics MD for a consultation often have some kind of treatment in mind before they walk in. Even if they don’t know the exact procedure they need, our patients definitely know what areas they want corrected.
We’re thrilled when our patients have some prior knowledge about our treatments and are engaged in their aesthetic journey. However, we often explain to our patients during the consultation process that we prefer to take a balanced approach to aesthetic enhancements—rather than performing spot treatments on specific areas.
Our expert aesthetic treatment providers at TLJ have years of experience delivering fantastic results to patients regardless of their concerns. We are passionate about helping our community feel great, and we truly believe that improving your outer appearance also improves your inner health.
Read on to learn more about how our providers combine treatments like soft tissue fillers and Botox to create incredible, lasting, and balanced results.
Finding the right treatments for each patient—whether it’s dermal fillers, Botox, other injectables, or other services—begins with an in-depth consultation.
During your consultation with our highly trained providers, we take the time to get to know you and your goals. That helps inform which treatments we can recommend to help you reach them.
Next, we will take an overall look at your facial structure and the individual muscles of your face. We take photos of your face from a variety of angles,—often revealing other possible treatment areas you might not have considered!
Finding exactly where our providers can make changes to enhance your natural beauty takes a highly trained eye and years of experience. Our injectors know facial anatomy inside and out, so a comprehensive view of your facial structure helps us in developing a treatment plan.
When planning out your treatment options, we constantly keep your facial balance in mind. For example: if a visiting patient wants a lip enhancement, we rarely will just inject filler in their lips. For a balanced, natural enhancement, we would actually need to improve their lower lip, jawline, and neck structure.

Some concerns may not even require fillers or other treatments in the direct areas. For nasal-labial folds (the creases in your skin extending from your nose to the corners of your mouth), we often don’t actually inject that area with filler. Rather, we prefer to give some lift to your midface and cheeks to help reduce your nasal labial folds.

After taking the time to evaluate your face, we will recommend treatment options and explain each procedure in detail. Even patients with similar goals will need an individualized treatment plan—because no two bodies are the same. For treatments like filler and Botox in Newcastle, Issaquah, and around the Eastside, some patients may need larger or smaller injection doses based on their unique needs.
Our staff’s experience plays a huge role in our consultation process. An experienced medical provider performs all of our consultations and treatments (one that diagnoses, treats, and prescribes for medical and cosmetic concerns). This extra measure ensures that you receive the highest quality care.
We also employ the most highly trained PAs and patient coordinators to ensure you feel confident and comfortable with your experience from the start. Our background means that we can deliver a highly personalized—and never cookie cutter—approach to your treatment.
After your thorough consultation and facial evaluation, we can create your personalized treatment plan. Some patients might assume that they can’t combine soft tissue fillers and Botox in Newcastle, Issaquah, and around the Eastside. But that’s simply not true!
Before we get into how we combine these great treatments, let’s explain what each injectable accomplishes.
Botox is easily one of our most popular treatments—and part of our Beauty Secrets membership program. Its popularity stems from its noted effectiveness in smoothing skin.
Botox and other neuromodulators (like Dysport and Jeuveau) are purified strains of botulinum toxin. This ingredient temporarily blocks certain chemical signals from the nerves that cause muscles to contract. Once injected, the neuromodulators relax specific facial muscles. This softens the appearance of lines and wrinkles that can develop from repeated facial expressions.
Like Botox, fillers are injectable products designed to enhance the features of your face without surgery. Over time, fatty tissue in the face shifts, muscle and skeletal volume shrinks, and skin elasticity declines. With soft tissues fillers, we can naturally restore facial volume that has abated over time—or add a bit of refreshing volume to an otherwise already youthful face.
Exactly what kind of filler you need all depends on your end goals. We have a variety of filler options at TLJ MD, including:
Determining the right filler for you all comes down to your goals and anatomy. That’s why the consultation process is so important. With a better understanding of your facial structure, we can recommend exactly what treatment will achieve your goals.
Both fillers and Botox are effective in what they do, but they are often most effective when used together to achieve results.
For example: say a patient comes to their consultation looking to improve wrinkles in the area under their eyes. Before treating their under eyes, we’ll often suggest working on their cheeks and jawline first. This results in a total facial rejuvenation that improves facial balance and symmetry—an important part of creating natural-looking results.
Combining filler and Botox can produce fantastic results, but combining the two with other treatments can enhance those results even further!
Kybella is the only FDA-approved injectable that removes fat cells underneath the chin and prevents fat from storing in that area. Its active ingredient mimics deoxycholic acid— a substance found naturally within the body that helps break down fat and flush it out as waste.
We typically perform Kybella over a series of multiple appointments consisting of 20 to 30 microinjections per session. Once we remove these fat cells, we can better understand how to treat the skin in this area to help it appear as smooth and as tight as possible.
If you’re also dealing with blemishes or redness on your face, broadband light treatments (BBL) are a fantastic pairing with fillers and Botox in Newcastle, Issaquah, and patients across the Eastside.
Below are just a few of our BBL skin treatments at TLJ:
Originally designed as a wrinkle treatment, the Halo Laser is also an incredibly effective skin tightening treatment. This unique laser uses a combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to remove the top layer of your skin and gently stimulate new collagen production beneath the surface.
Halo can effectively remove wrinkles and improve skin texture, which works perfectly with filler or Botox. Within1 to 3 treatments, you should notice a “mini lift” effect in addition to the improvement of your skin’s overall quality!
The best way to maintain your aesthetic treatment results and keep that healthy glow is with medical-grade skincare products. These products, like the ones we offer at TLJ, contain high-quality ingredients at higher levels of concentration than you can find in over-the-counter skincare products.
Introducing these types of products into your morning and nightly routine long-term will not only help prepare your face for treatment, but they will also help you maintain your results long-term.
When looking for a balanced approach to your aesthetic treatments, your search ends at TLJ Aesthetics MD.
