Dr. Terry Jacobson founded TLJ Aesthetics MD in 1998. Here, patients choose from a spectrum of services depending upon their needs and desires.
Aesthetic Medicine includes non-invasive and minimally invasive, non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Early on, Dr. Jacobson saw the connection between looking good and feeling good—between outer beauty and the desire to be your healthiest self. Internal Medicine is an option for patients at TLJ through a membership concierge model of service.
Aesthetics & Internal Medicine
Dermatologic care and Aesthetic Medicine have been a very prominent part of TLJ Aesthetics MD. Dr. J and her team observed that when her patients were making efforts in improving their skin and aesthetic beauty, in turn, healthy lifestyle choices seemed to follow.
Over the years, Dr. Jacobson has had the privilege of training personally under the very cosmetic physicians and surgeons that develop aesthetic devices and treatments and who write the protocols that are now standard medical excellence at TLJ. Patients trust that their safety and comfort are our top priority.
Your treatments are provided directly by a medical provider (one that diagnosis, treats, and prescribes for medical and cosmetic concerns), an extra measure taken to ensure you are in the most qualified hands.
Communication and time spent understanding the needs and concerns of her patients have always been an essential part of her practice. Early on, Dr. J came to realize just how difficult it was to have a good relationship with her patients under the constraints of what might be called a traditional practice.
Out of a mutual desire for a personal and accessible internal medicine practice, CloseCare (membership concierge-style of practice) was developed and continues to be an important part of TLJ Aesthetics MD for her patients that choose to also get their primary care at TLJ. Her medical patients also have the added comfort of knowing that her training and background as a Registered Pharmacist gives her added insight into pharmacology and medication mechanisms, interactions, risks, and benefits.
While Dr. J is affiliated with local area hospitals, referrals to specialists are made to those that are best suited to your needs, rather than their organization or hospital affiliations. This ensures you get the best specialty care if ever needed. To Dr. J, that is one of the most important reasons for being in an independent private practice.
At TLJ Aesthetics MD, Dr. Jacobson and her team are truly – Caring For You, Inside and Out.
Where along the spectrum of services do you prefer to receive your care? The choice is always yours.
Establishing a trusting relationship with your primary care doctor is paramount to maintaining excellent health. Traditional primary care practices can sometimes feel like an assembly line of patients with time to spend only on the top one or two items of concern—not the approach TLJ Aesthetics MD ever envisioned when taking care of patients. That’s why CloseCare, a membership-concierge model of practice, was developed in 2007.
More recently, a second concierge program was developed in our practice, Women’s Health and Wellness at TLJ. This program was specifically designed for women over 40 and focuses on issues around the menopausal transition which starts, for many women, around 40. Dr Jacobson saw the need to educate women about hormones and critical health care decisions to be made during this delicate period of a woman’s life. Evidence based medicine and education are desperately needed for women. Choices made about hormone therapy or lack thereof, can impact women now and later in life and we are happy to be part of that learning curve.
In this program TLJ can serve as primary care or a supplement to your primary care. But, always, it is concierge style!
Consider Women’s Health and Wellness at TLJ similar to CloseCare… but just for women.
