Our Experience
At TLJ Aesthetics MD, Dr. Jacobson has over 20 years of experience with laser and light treatments using the Photofacial BBL in Issaquah for rejuvenation of the skin. Our patients receive the added benefit of device selection and advanced private training with the very physician who developed IPL Photofacial, Dr. Patrick Bitter, Jr.
Through collaboration over the years, Dr. J is dedicated to providing our patients with the most advanced techniques and protocols. At TLJ, it’s not enough to simply have a device capable of improving your skin—it must be exceptional. And the technique is everything.
At TLJ, we also make every extra effort possible to ensure your comfort during your treatment.

Results
A Photofacial using BBL in Issaquah has an amazingly effective technology to improve brown spots, “broken capillaries,” angiomas and other pigment irregularities. Skin is much more supple and smooth with an illumination of light that occurs on the surface for an unmistakable brightness. Our female patients commonly find that they either begin forgetting to use their powder or foundation or use much less of it as a result of the natural beauty and radiance of their skin after BBL.
FAQs
What happens if I stop getting BBL treatments?
The effects of BBL treatments to improve tone, texture, and skin reflectivity and glow will gradually wane over time. While your skin’s appearance will be better for many months, the aging process continues. Maintenance treatments are optimal for long term results.
Is BBL safe?
As with any medical treatment, ensure you are getting treated with a very experienced medical provider. Technique and proper patient selection defines safety. At TLJ Aesthetics MD, no medical complications have ever occurred.
When will I see the effects of BBL?
The cosmetic benefit can be seen as early as 1 week, peaking at several weeks. Additional improvements over time and with repeat and maintenance treatments are typical.
How often will I need to repeat BBL treatments for ongoing results?
Maintenance treatments are ideal for BBL after an initial treatment course—every 3-4 months for most patients.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effects of BBL include temporary, very minor swelling and a snapping sensation at the time of treatment. At TLJ Aesthetics MD, we do everything possible to help prevent and avoid any unpleasant experiences and ensure your treatment is very comfortable.
Do I need to modify any of my activities after BBL treatment?
You can return to most usual activities immediately after BBL treatment with no downtime.
What is the difference between BBL/ IPL and other Laser treatments for rejuvenation?
There are a variety of techniques available to improve tone, texture, lines, wrinkles and laxity of the skin. Different treatments are commonly used together for additive benefits. Many factors are taken into consideration when recommendations are made for you at TLJ. Together we will determine the right fit for you.
