Have you noticed a few more wrinkles or lines around your eyes lately? Or even some sagging in your skin? The eyes are the first area to start to show signs of aging, and sometimes we find ourselves looking older than we feel. The experts at TLJ want to introduce you to our holistic approach to eye care!
Dr. Jacobson at TLJ Aesthetics understands the connection between outer beauty and inner health. This is why dermatological care and aesthetic medicine are cornerstones of her practice at TLJ.
If you’re looking for an under eye treatment in Issaquah or general eye rejuvenation in the Seattle area, TLJ has got you covered. As with all our treatments at TLJ, we prefer to take a balanced approach when our patients are wondering how to get their eyes looking younger.
We know the best results come from a synergy between medical-grade products and expertly performed treatments.
ThermiSmooth for the eyes is one of our favorite treatments for our patients who are looking for a non-surgical solution to sagging eyelids, crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles. In Real Self, 100% of patients say ThermiSmooth was “worth it.”
At TLJ we also understand that caring for your eyes is not a one and done treatment. When it comes to non-invasive eye rejuvenation, we know a combination of treatment and products achieves optimal results.
During your consultation with your TLJ provider, we will talk you through your treatment and possible products to help maintain and boost your results. Botox or soft tissue fillers may also be discussed.
ThermiSmooth is a safe and effective way to reduce signs of aging on the face, especially around the eyes. The treatment uses thermal energy (radiofrequency) to stimulate the growth of collagen and tighten the skin. There are no needles or cuts made in the skin.
We don’t need to use anesthetic because this is a comfortable non-surgical, non-invasive procedure. There are no needles or cuts made in the skin. There is no downtime and many patients say it feels like getting a warm massage!
Each treatment only takes about 30 minutes. Some patients are able to see instant results, but the full series of 4 treatments is required for optimal results.
ThermiSmooth is also a great treatment to schedule for the summer. You don’t need to worry about sun exposure with ThermiSmooth, because it’s not a laser treatment! This also makes it safe for tanned skin and skin of any color.
As a bonus, some patients have experienced improved tear production and alleviated dry eyes after receiving ThermiSmooth.
Here are some of our before and after photos showing the results!
One of the great aspects about ThermiSmooth is that it can be combined with other treatments to further enhance the results. TLJ Aesthetics offers a variety of aesthetic treatments, and works with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.
During your consultation, our highly trained providers take the time to get to know you and your aesthetic goals. We take photos of your face from all different angles, examining your bone structure, muscles, and facial anatomy.
After we develop your treatment plan, we explain your procedures to you in detail. Your comfort and confidence is our priority. An experienced medical provider performs all of our consultations and treatments, so you can trust you are receiving the highest quality care.
During your treatment, your highly trained provider will first apply a protective gel. Then, they will use the handheld device to apply heat to the area around your eyes using small, circular motions. There is no pain during treatment, so you’re able to lean back and relax.
We perform ThermiSmooth treatments in a series of four 30 minute treatments, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Completing the full series of treatments guarantees the best results. We also recommend maintenance treatments every 3 to 4 months.
Some patients are able to see results immediately, but the best results will be visible after finishing the full course of treatments. Optimal results are visible within 3 to 6 months following treatment as the body continues to produce more collagen and repair the cells.
Most results last 1 year or longer, but can be prolonged with regular maintenance.
We know that there are so many lotions and potions available for eye care. Over-the-counter treatments often produce underwhelming results. At TLJ we selected medical-grade skincare products that are clinically proven to work.
There are 3 mechanisms of the eye area we like to address during a regular eye care routine. And, of course, each one has a product we recommend!
There is a limit to where we’re able to use neuromodulators like Botox to relax the muscles causing wrinkles. For the smallest lines and wrinkles, we recommend Hyalogy B Serum. The active ingredient relaxes the over stimulated muscle, which improves fine lines.
You can use the serum twice daily, after cleansing. You should only use it under the eyes. When you’re using it with other products, this is the one you should use first!
Collagen and elastin are two of the components that keep our skin looking firm. Alastin Restorative Eye Treatment uses peptides and botanicals to help grow both of these proteins.
This product can be used on both upper and lower eyelids twice daily. It can also be used together with the Hyalogy B Serum.
Most moisturizers only sit on the surface of the skin. They use hyaluronic acid, which is the same ingredient used in soft tissues fillers. But hyaluronic acid’s molecules are too big to be absorbed by the skin, that’s why soft tissue fillers have to be injected.
The scientists who developed the Forlle’d Hyalogy skincare products use nobel prize winning technology to defy some of the properties like size that keep other products from penetrating the skin. . Studies show that by enhancing hydration alone improves the appearance of wrinkles.
That’s why we love the Hyalogy Platinum Eye Cream as a staple in any eye care routine. It can be used on the upper and lower eyelids, once or twice daily as a last step in your regimen.
When using multiple serums, allow the previous steps to have time to penetrate before layering on the next. You usually need to allow at least 30 seconds.
The skin and tissue around the eyelids is very delicate, so be gentle when applying products.
Follow the instructions on the product as well as any recommendations from your TLJ provider. The order in which the products are applied is critical to their effectiveness.
Yes, we do! During your consultation, your provider will be happy to talk with you about the options available at our practice.
We see patients for a number of skin issues. We have treatments that can achieve the following results:
Depending on your skin type and concerns, we use laser, light, and other techniques to help you achieve the skin of your dreams. Many of our aesthetic treatments enhance the skin’s natural processes.
These are 2 of the treatments we recommend to pair with ThermiSmooth most often:
Neuromodulators, like Botox, are injectable treatments that we often recommend in combination with under eye treatment in Issaquah. They can help the eyes appear more open, soften crow’s feet, and shape the eyebrows.
Soft tissue fillers are another injectable treatment we can use to improve the appearance of bags, lines, wrinkles or a hollowed appearance around the eyes.
