BOTOX® for a Smooth and Younger-Looking Face

Used medically for over 30 years, there are good reasons why Botox is so popular. By reducing or eliminating your frown lines, forehead creases and crows feet, treatments can appear to erase years from your face. And you’ll find that whenever you see yourself, you can’t help but smile.

Happily, results can last up to 4 months, and maintenance therapy can extend them even longer. It’s no wonder that Botox has been ranked the most popular physician-administered aesthetic procedure in the US for years.

What about other neuromodulators in the same class as Botox like Dysport and Xeomin? Dr Jacobson treats her patients with each of these products; there are differences between them and technique used to provide optimal results. She is happy to discuss her experience and determine which is ideal for you.

  • Who is the best candidate for Botox?

Botox is excellent for adults who would like to refine the appearance of frown and expression lines. The most common areas to treat are the lines between the eyebrows, upper forehead and squint lines otherwise known as crow’s feet around the eyes.
  • Where is the procedure performed?

The procedure is performed in a doctor’s office and one that is qualified as an expert injector with this product.
  • Is anesthesia used during the procedure?

Botox is a quick procedure and most patients do not opt for a local anesthetic cream ahead of time, however, we do make that option available. Cold air applied to the treatment area is a great trick we utilize to optimize comfort. The pinprick sensation is gone immediately after the procedure.
  • How long does the procedure last?

Botox treatments generally take a few short minutes to complete.
  • How long is the recovery period?

Small bump like marks after treatment are gone in about 15 minutes and require no special attention.
  • Will I need to take time off of work?

No time off work is necessary.
  • Are there any risks or complications associated?

Complications are rare. In our experience, minor bruising is typically the most common possible side effect and easy to conceal.
  • How long to the effects last?

The effects of Botox last about 3 months initially. Over time and faithful maintenance, however, many of our patients find they require less frequent treatments and benefit for a longer period of time.
  • Will insurance cover the cost of Botox?

Insurance does not cover Botox for cosmetic use. Talk to us about how you can save on your Botox with our rewards programs “TLJ Secrets” and “TLJ Buddy System” where you benefit simply by planning your treatments and putting yourself on a priority list to be taken care of and sharing with friends even, if you so choose!
